Email Marketing: What works, What doesn’t and Why

Last week, we learned a simple truth that goes against the common fallacy that email is dead, we came to this conclusion based on hard facts. With this conviction in mind, it would only be wise to improve our email marketing strategy and take advantage of our new found knowledge. Based on this, let us take a look at how we can do just that; improve our email marketing strategy in order to build a great client list and achieve better results.

In the end, email marketing all boils down to the email itself, how it is constructed and structured will determine its success. So, how do you structure your email properly to achieve great results?

  1. Adopt the friendly approach: First and foremost, you should apply a friendly approach to your emails. People tend to put a lot of emphasis on first impressions, there is a reason for this, your introduction is very crucial. You should come from the angle of a friend. Avoid overly serious introductions and stick to friendly gestures.
  1. Tell bedtime stories 🙂 There is a reason kids love bedtime stories, I know you’re probably thinking; “Geez! My clients aren’t kids!” Even so, adults still have that inner child inside them. You can tap into their inner child and get them invested using a well-told story. If you can, inject a nice story people can relate to into your emails, it would go a long way in forging emotional bonds with your clients.
  1. Email once per day: I know you want to market your product to your clients, but the truth is no one wants to be bombarded with a plethora of emails. Don’t lose potential clients by being greedy. Provide unique content; allow your clients to look forward to your next email. Remember: Less is more…
  1. Follow up, follow up! This should be the most crucial step to email marketing success; ignoring the follow-up series is tantamount to wasting your time. Get a good email client and set up a great follow-up series, more on this in our video   courses. Go check them out.

Yes as long as you don't ask for reviews in exchange. It will still increase your sales velocity and ranks.. However maybe it makes more sense to run PPC instead of giving away your product too cheap 50-75% OFF instead of PPC? Depends on the niche..

pet rock.. hm.. Not really.. run the numbers on the Best Seller finder.. u see most sales are made by 2-3 sellers, others are struggling. It's also too cheap of a product, Average price of the product from top 10 sellers: $13.13 (Approximate FBA fees: $2.63)

It's pretty accurate but it's only a GUIDE, not exact amount. You need to understand that amazon does not release real sales amounts on public. So it's an EDUCATED GUESS. The problem is that all of that information is based on the sales rank at the time you are viewing the product. So if they ran some promo last week they have more BSR than usual.

That's why good to use TRACKING tools like "Track my product" in sells lik ehot cakes..

FBA toolkit, Unicorn smasher, Jungle scout, all give you some estimate. Nothing is "ACCURATE" and cant be accurate as you dont know real numbers, only amazon does... all tools just try to help you research. Dont worry about "accuracy".

I had over eight merchant providers turn me down. For example, when you think hemp--you think...marijuana. Providers said no,no,no....Hemp is illegal, which it is not! And search Aliexpress for hemp clothing and what do you get, marijuana paraphernalia--not 100% hemp products! Hemp is just another tag for broadcloth. What I do not get is I have seen things like marijuana seed sites with a shopify or Paypal logo on their site? But.. I was denied by both of them for trying to sell anything that could be misconstrued as for marijuana..like vaporizers listed under Aromatherapy. Are not marijuana seeds sold for the purpose of growing an illegal plant in most states/provinces? Why the hypocrisy with merchant providers?

You see, every provider wants to stay safe. If you are new and coming with a first product and start with something on the "edge" like marijuana-related stuff you might have trouble for sure. Start with safer products, get approved easily, then get some volume going and only when you are a trusted seller add more edgy products. Hope this helps
