Email Marketing: What works, What doesn’t and Why

Hello guys,

Last week, we learned a simple truth that goes against the common fallacy that email is dead, we came to this conclusion based on hard facts. With this conviction in mind, it would only be wise to improve our email marketing strategy and take advantage of our new found knowledge. Based on this, let us take a look at how we can do just that; improve our email marketing strategy in order to build a great client list and achieve better results.

In the end, email marketing all boils down to the email itself, how it is constructed and structured will determine its success. So, how do you structure your email properly to achieve great results?

  1. Adopt the friendly approach: First and foremost, you should apply a friendly approach to your emails. People tend to put a lot of emphasis on first impressions, there is a reason for this, your introduction is very crucial. You should come from the angle of a friend. Avoid overly serious introductions and stick to friendly gestures.
  1. Tell bedtime stories 🙂 There is a reason kids love bedtime stories, I know you’re probably thinking; “Geez! My clients aren’t kids!” Even so, adults still have that inner child inside them. You can tap into their inner child and get them invested using a well-told story. If you can, inject a nice story people can relate to into your emails, it would go a long way in forging emotional bonds with your clients.
  1. Email once per day: I know you want to market your product to your clients, but the truth is no one wants to be bombarded with a plethora of emails. Don’t lose potential clients by being greedy. Provide unique content; allow your clients to look forward to your next email. Remember: Less is more…
  1. Follow up, follow up! This should be the most crucial step to email marketing success; ignoring the follow-up series is tantamount to wasting your time. Get a good email client and set up a great follow-up series, more on this in our video   courses. Go check them out.

You will be surprised at the results you will get if you can just implement these few tips discussed here. Remember guys, this is just the tip of the iceberg, there’s a whole bunch of secret email marketing strategies in our video courses, be sure to check them out.

Great idea George.. The best thing is shopify is not just for dropshipping! You can sell your own products and even fullfill by amazon for your shopify sales. Check ByteStand and several other apps for AMAZON integration into shopify

Thank you Sandra.. Please check the TRENDS and SEASONS tool we have for your product.. Usually April-May is a good time to start selling summer products. Sales peak in June-July.

Is Retail arbitrage even worthwhile anymore? i checked Target, Walmart, Toys-r-us and profit margins are too low for me.

We already discussed it... See the video "why i hate retail arbitrage". In short, yes it works but it's much more complicated and it's basically another JOB not a passive income. I would not get into it this year. It's hard to scale if you are just starting out and don't have assistants to help you find producs, list them...

Paypal accounts for about 45% of our sales. I'd say 20% of conversations are coming from Amazon. Also add Stripe and they'll have a much more straightforward guest checkout with credit card.

 Emma says at 17:37 et
Try cashcowpro split test tools for A/B split tests. also Greg from jungle scout has similar tools i think. Split test only makes sense if you sell A LOT of units per day, else it's irrelevant, as data sample is too small.

Also Splitly just for price testing but testing cover photos is a good idea too.

I want to get in touch with a customer that left a one star review. I've been through all the reports and cannot find them!

Click on Orders and then click on Manage orders. if they have left their actual name, you can find them through a paid tool called 'sellermail'.

Claudia says at 23:10 et
Let go... Most likely it's your competitor, more over amazon does not allow you to ask customers to remove bad reviews directly. You can get in trouble. Nobody expects your product to ONLY have 5 start reviews, so don't worry about it. You can't please everyone. Just keep providing great service and good reviews will cover a stinker!

You can remove however negative Seller FEEDBACK pretty easy. See our video on that.

I just starting to do a dropshipping with Shopify and I'm from Thailand. How can I get customers trust me from USA?

 James says at 01:29 et
Dont say that you are from Thailand on your store. Buy a virtual address in USA, use fiver to proofread the texts (very cheap). See the video about building credibility, it helped me a lot

- forwarding service (to forward returns)
- hire virtual assistant to proofread your english if you struggle with english. (on fiverr for $5)
- put trust seals
