When it comes to business, there is a myriad of factors that determine whether it’ll become a profitable enterprise or not. You should know that one constant thing in business is competition; and if your business cannot distinguish itself from the competition, you’ll always be at a loss. I am not saying this to scare you; in fact, there is no reason to fear competition. Instead of being scared, you can take advantage of your competition, study them and use the knowledge gained to structure your business better and position yourself for success.
Well… Let’s look at how you can position yourself properly for success and profits!
- Grow your niche: Success should always lead to expansion. You should always be thinking about the next big thing. What is your competition missing? What aren’t they doing right? What additional service can you add to the one you currently offer? These are the questions you should ask yourself, never get too complacent; keep growing, keep evolving!
- Get familiar with your competition: It may not be easy to do, but the reward is worth it. Study your competition; learn from their successes and failures, keep yourself abreast of the latest trends in your niche. Stay informed!
- Understand your customers: Your customers should be your number one priority. Understand their needs and wants, and channel your resources/services towards their satisfaction. Happy customers equal better profits.
- Offer unique products: Are your products/services mundane and ordinary? Do sell with unique selling points? Ensure you stand out of the crowd by having a touch of uniqueness attached to your brand.
- Offer exceptional customer service: Customer service is often what determines if you will get return buyers. You should offer your clients exceptional customer service. Tend to their needs and requirements, show them you’re not just out to sell a product, but you also care about their success. Time magazine once put it plainly that the #1 marketing strategy for companies in the year 2000 and beyond will be customer service.

?I had a unique chance to see in person and to talk and listen to the industry leaders such as Greg Mercer (the creator of Jungle Scout), Scott Voelker (the creator of The amazing seller podcast) and of course Manuel Becvar, the creator of ImportDojo and Number 1 Best selling Amazon Course on Udemy.
I had also a chance to talk to Manuel after the session and even made a short video interview where he is going to share his secrets and insights on how to choose the right product and avoid getting scammed. Once I get back home from the trip, I will edit and release the video, really great stuff.

The conference was really amazing, a lot of great new strategies, tips and tricks on what is working RIGHT NOW on Amazon. However the biggest surprise for me was that most people have not started yet, they are stuck in the research phase and take too much time picking the product. That’s why I plan to release more videos with helpful tips and ideas on how to pick the right product, right from the start.
During the conference we had a great chance to talk to ex-amazon employees and see how it all works. The biggest thing you need to know is that Amazon is BOOMING right now and it is also cracking down on the shady sellers and scammers, that means you have a great timing to get started and take a piece of the 250 billion dollar industry! Don’t miss out and take action, the timing can’t be better!
