3 Sure Tips that’ll Set You on the Right Path to Building the Ultimate Client List

I have continually pointed out the importance of a client list to growing and expanding your business. Regardless of how you want to spin it; building your client list is an inescapable necessity if you want to be successful. You are one hundred percent responsible for this. In an effort to grow and expand your client base, there lies the herculean task of publicizing your brand and services. I intend to make things easier for in this regard. You need to ensure you doing some things right; this would help you begin developing an effective client list.

  1. Create a seductive portfolio

Okay, so when I say seductive, I don’t mean you should get raunchy with your clients. Hell no! What I mean is that you should construct your portfolio in such a way that your clients gain confidence in your ability to deliver. With regards to your portfolio; be persuasive!

  1. Request feedback

There is nothing wrong with asking for constructive criticism from clients you have served. On the contrary; this would give you ideas on how to do better in terms of products and service. It would help you know which areas you are deficient in and it will motivate you to improve. This will lead to positive evolution on your products and services, consequently leading to more clients and a bigger base. Most people see criticism as a blow to the ego. Don’t be one of these people; Embrace criticism!

  1. Networking, Networking!!

Another important ingredient in building and expanding your business is your network. You must ensure you are surrounded with like-minded individuals, your interactions would allow you to learn from them; their mistakes and successes. Also, you may get the bonus of free advert via word of mouth. Business registration in an EU country or company in EU, VAT registration in every country where your inventory is held, (usually its UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Poland, and the Czech Republic) Also need CE certification. then you do in future also Annual income tax filings in your EU registered country, Monthly VAT filings in your registered countries, Annual, quarterly, or monthly filings of your activities with Interstat (the frequency depends on your sales volumes), A continuous customs bond for Schengen countries.
Continuous customs bonds for non-Schengen countries (basically the UK). There are companys that handle all that paperwork like FBA-Hero, check resources sections..

Do you fullfill yourself or dropship guys?

I used to do a hybrid of both physically stocked inventory and drop shipped products. I usually dropship from warehouses based in the US so it's faster.. and international ones from CHINA.. My advice, start by dropshipping first to validate products amd test and build momentum.. once you see it sells well get fulfilling inventory on the products that sell the most!

It's Importer Security Filing.. As the importer, you are required to file some basic information before the cargo departs overseas and arrives in the US. Your freight forwarder will always taken care of this but double check always!

Who is importer of record when shipping to amazon? AMAZON?

 little_tiger says at 21:45 et
No.. Amazon will not be the importer of record for any shipment coming in from overseas. Your shipment will be rejected. Your freight forwarder should take care of this! For example I use Flexport..

Check with your supplier to see if they have product liability in placement for you first as a customer, as most do.

He means product liablity probably... If you have a professional account you have to have insurance. Under ATO all Pro accounts must have $1 mill liability insurance. Its pretty straight forward. Also If you sell $10k for 3 consecutive months on your "Individual account" you have to provide insurance. Check Amazon TOS!

We are improving a lot our fb ads, yesterday we've reach 200 orders, and today we are closing with almost 900, but I have a question: How do you manage lots of orders? I use oberlo but is it anything beside 'clicking' to every order? I also, how to deliver automaticaly to my customer when their tracking code is available(?) (this hugh increase is because I just started facebook ads, before I just do everything organic) thanks!

900 orders per day??? wow that is amazing result Ricardo, well done! With such big volume you need to hire virtual assistant to help you "clicking". Oberlo automates prefilling the forms, address, sync of the orders but still some clicking is needed!

hi after taking the steps to show you my store I realised that i did it in hast and have closed it, by the way thanks for all the comments they were super useful!
I am going for my original niche and I have several ideas for others once im up and running. I am very impressed by the help you get here, from the keyword, title generator, the filler and bullet point generator and everything else, all great in helping newbies like myself.
i would like to ask that once i have my shop up and running and looking great would it be an option to do a full launch campaign with one of the email companies to send out emails to your target audience? I have seen ones advertised and I am realistic about the feedback and actual conversions but i don't have an email list yet and this seems to be a great option. let me know

thanks

I know that combating procrastination is an important common theme here – But I think maybe you guys have forgotten how intimidating and overwhelming some of this is. Yesterday for about 6 hours I was really going though some negative emotions – Thinking no way this can work and no one is going to responded to these products I am putting up – What took me out of this funk was 1) the fact that I am starting this business for very little money 2) the realization that doing something I least had a better shot and making it than I had doing NOTHING – Might sound simplistic but that’s the edgy thinking it took for me. I think what maybe the more experienced folks here have disregard is how over whelming it can be when you can latterly chose ANYTHING for you shopify niche and product line – that is awesome and daunting all at the same time….. God I hope I get the White label level soon …LOL One last thought fear of success and fear of failure seem to go hand in hand and feed off of one another…

Wow well said Wade. I went through similar hardships when starting out... What if people don't buy my product? What if it's too late? But then again what do I have to lose? It's not like i am investing 100,000 into this.

Good Luck Wade! You are on the right track just by giving it a try. 99% of people fail because they never start and give it a chance.
