I just returned back from my China trip, and I must confess… that was such an amazing and eye-opening experience, to be able to see the REAL China, to break stereotypes, to meet my Chinese partners and sourcing agents. We also had a chance to meet the famous Manuel Becvar, the creator of the first FBA Udemy course about the French press. What a great guy! He is an expert on sourcing in Hong Kong.
I had a great opportunity to get in-depth insights into Chinese whitelabelling business. I even visited and FILMED several factories for you! So you will see my journey and hopefully follow and take action as well and start your own successful business in China!
We also had a chance to visit Canton fair, the biggest industrial fair in the world with over 45,000 factories showing their newest products to potential FBA sellers from all over the world! We filmed everything so we could give you real-life insights on how we select the product and the questions we ask!

on fiver there are specific gigs on writing the amazon product descriptions even.
It is Ok to use AlieExpress - just make sure that your customers know about the delivery times and the reason is because all products are made to order and direct from the factory.
Then scale up and move slowly to FBA once you know what sells best for your store and fullfill via amazon prime!

Bottom line you dont need 5k to get started with ecommerce. Start your Shopify store or simply do teelaunch business or even Amazon FBA WITHOUT whitelabelling ! Tons of oppotunities!
I would suggest
1. If you go with "everything store" then research top competitor everything stores and make sure to sell similar products by similar prices. This will reduce chance of failure.
2. If you go specific niche, again use competitor spy tools and find out best selling products in competitor stores and duplicate them.

Visiting China is not required but will put you ahead of competition
if you really go extra mile and visit your suppliers and establish
personal level of trust with them. It's much harder for supplier to
scam you and provide poor quality if he knows that you can just hop on
the plane and visit their factory in person next day to check the
quality! Trust me, it works!
