Spot Trends & Patterns: Position Your e-commerce Business for Success!

Emotions drive consumer purchase habits, and market trends is the fuel to rile up the human emotion. When a certain item is getting a lot of attention, people tend to want to know more, and then, they want to have such items or products; it is the crowd mentality and this is basic human behavior.

A good retailer would definitely consider the current trend when making a decision on the products he wants to sell. The ability to identify a consumer trend would give you an opportunity to construct a highly profitable business around this trend. This is because, whatever is trending is in demand, and whatever is in demand will sell like hot cakes!

In our last post, we identified a major trend in our time; consumers are buying goods and services online like never before! This trend has revealed an opportunity in the e-commerce business sector, which we duly pointed out to you.

Spotting trends within the e-commerce business sector is the nitty-gritty of our discussion today. In order to catch these patterns or trends, research is required by the seller, to see what works in the market and what doesn’t. Identifying your competition and seeing what they’re doing, find out what product is currently marketable and tailor your ideas and resources towards this end i.e. piggy bag on this trend.

It is a brave and admirable thing to bring a new product into the market, however, this carries massive risks and only two outcomes; either you fail miserably or you succeed; and therefore create a new market trend. The latter is not easy to accomplish. If you are just starting out, it is advisable you look at the market properly, thoroughly study the products in circulation, look at the competition and move in direction of the trending product.

Studying the market, your competition, the product cycle….Arrrggggh! This seems like too much stress right? If you are thinking along these lines, there is no need to fret. There are several tools available to help ease the burden of market research. The good news is that we are offering such tools for you as well.

To study your competition and see what is working for them and what isn’t, we have the competitor spy tool. You can check it out here.

Best seller finder is another tool that is specially configured to handle market research and just like the name, it will help you in finding the best products with the highest grossing profits! In other words, it will help you to spot consumer trends!! Isn’t this wonderful?

Give yourself an edge over the competition. Go check out our tools now!

It's good. Your goal is to sell 10 units per day, $10 per unit profit. You are on the right track, keep pushing!

They are pretty good, you must understand that real numbers only amazon knows, all the tools can use the estimates based on the BSR approximation!

HOW DO I manage customer returns?

 Claudia says at 04:49 et
Ricardo, in case of FBA then Amazon will handle everything (returns, refunds). In case of drop shipping, I suggest to buy a virtual forwarding address in USA where customers can send returns and it forwards it to you later.

Thanks Claudia! , I am starting with dropshipping aliexpress and shopify. My store is about Rock Music (t-shirts and accesories) I have a fan page with +3 Million fans (fb.com/elrockescultura.org) but they are almost everyone from MEXICO, so epacket here it does not work so well, I tested posting one product, (without ads, pixel, autoresponder, analytics, chatbots, retargeting, etc) and we sold 20 items in 3 days, but 15 from Mexico. So what idea do you know around how can I will manage returns?? thank you!

Tshirts you can ship using tspring or t-launch app for shopify or even Merch if you use amazon. you dont need to ship tshirts from china.
I suggest to post your store for critics and we all can post more suggestions. It's hard to suggest blindly.

You can experiment with different ways... They offer Json script and several widgets that you can place to your site.
Growing community takes a lot of patience, so keep going and growing it but dont expect fast results.

To grow faster best tip is to share top shared content from other pages. Save post or video from other pages (similar topic) and repost them on your page and mini-boost. Also research top liked and top shared contnet in your niche and repost it.

New video added (NEW!) Visiting Coffee Factory Insights & Tips
Today we are in Guangzhou, an industrial city in China and visiting a
Coffee Maker Factory that is producing coffee makers for the top
European brands. We will see the production, show you real life
insights on how Chinese factories look and work, what questions you
should be asking when visiting your supplier and what quality control
is in place. Great insights from the real Chinese factory!

As a bonus we are sharing great tips for Amazon FBA sellers.

Visiting China is not required but will put you ahead of competition
if you really go extra mile and visit your suppliers and establish
personal level of trust with them. It's much harder for supplier to
scam you and provide poor quality if he knows that you can just hop on
the plane and visit their factory in person next day to check the
quality! Trust me, it works!
