Magic mug case study?

Here is another great example of what sells well with drop shipping. Honestly I really liked this product and even purchased it for myself. As usual I am giving you great finds that I got on facebook, I am not affiliated with any of the products I show in examples

Here is their winning ad. It’s a video FB ad, they are using “as seen on tv” approach with a lot of great scarcity special symbols like FIRE and special discount:

People are reacting well, it collected over 442 shares and thousands of likes.

As you can see the MAGIC MUG is on sale for “just” $39.99 usd. (“used to” be 69 lol)

Nicely done shopify store with all the scrarcity apps you can think of.

Now using the Sells Like Hot Cases best seller finder or other tools you can see the sourcing price on aliexpress for dropshipping is $12.65 with shipping from CHINA.

That is 39.99 – 12.65 = $27.4 profit!

So dropshipping profit is 27.4 usd (very good). Deduct the cost of the fb ads and you still get a great winner.

Obviously they can maximize profits by going FBA model using Alibaba.

The NET profit becomes closer to $35 usd but you have to order more units of course plus combine it manually with gloves etc.

What’s also interesting that you could be dropshipping this also from Amazon, almost for the same price with no need to ship from China: 12.99

Anyways it’s a great example that system works great regardless if you use the dropshipping method or the FBA method, there are plenty of successful products and it’s never “too late”.

If you need great ideas, login to your sellslikehotcakes members area and use the niche finder or product idea of the day!

hi Cyril. Great question..

Actually, there are three ways, by air, by express & by sea.

By air:
1. shipped by major airlines, such as Air China, Japan Airlines, Singapore Airlines, Shenzhen Airlines, Thai Airways, Malaysia airlines, Northwest Airlines etc.
2. the goods will be shipped to airport and the client needs to do the customs clearance and pick up the goods by himself.

By express:
1. shipped by UPS, Fedex, EMS, TNT & DHL.
2. the goods will be shipped to the client's destination (door to door, such as Amazon warehouse). The express company will do the customs clearance.

By sea:
shipped by shipping company, such as Ma Shiji, COSCO, NYK, Kawasaki, Hanjin, United Arab Emirates, Sinotrans and so on.
Also can do Door to Door service.

The race to the bottom is a dangerous game. Instead of lowering price try to offer unique product, a bundle, a set, to stand out from competition. You lowering the price will just make other sellers lower their price as well, and now everybody is making less profit with no added benefit.

Think of doing a bundle or a set and RISE the price, not lower it

A VA is a virtual assistant, mostly freelancer. A large majority of VA's are in countries like Philippians or India. Most have a decent ability to understand, speak and write English and help you with customer support, scheduling, proofreading etc.
There are a handful of websites where you can hire a VA, oDesk, Fiverr etc. How much to pay.. For VA's in the Philippians you can find a good worker that's decent with English for $3-5/hr and a very good worker that's fluent in English for $6-8/hr

Try to build your list! For example run Facebook ad campaigns for newsletter sign ups , offer free desktop and mobile wallpaper, or how-to report. People have to put in their email, then we have a trigger set up on MailChimp to email all new subscribers the link for the wallpaper or report, plus we insert suggested products in the email. We get 300-400 sign ups a day at like 0.1 an email. Works like charm!

Use Privvy for the popup, and the email coupon code autogenerated from Mailchimp. It's a nice combo.

Welcome friend I tried clickfunnels its good but not integrated with shopify.. Use clickfunnels to build your landing page for facebook ads promotions and collect leads and THEN send them to shopify via followup series..

 Alice says at 21:41 et
For shopify try One click Upsell by Zipify. also Product Upsell.. You can set up rules for upsell offers. Klavio works well for retention emails..

Hey guys, thanks for the great course! Dont know how to say, but I have a strong thinking within myself, that it is too late to start. I know that this will probably be only a belief. Any ideas for helping me with this issue?
I am also looking for products but it's really hard to find something with the criterias the course is telling me.
What about you guys? Are you thinking similar or I am the only one here? :)

hi Jan and welcome. "is it too late" is the common fear of everyone that is getting started. What you really fear is "is it too much competition? what if my product does not fit all the criteria"? The truth is, there will be never an ideal product that fits ALL criteria. Criteria is an indication for you in which direction to look, but it does not mean that you must find ideal product that fits ALL criterias at the same time. This will never be the case.

This year is amazing time to start ecommerce, because so many new tools are developed and released and with new amazon review policies it's getting harder for low quality sellers just to buy tons of 5 star reviews and flood the market like it was last year. So i think it's getting even easier for people to stand out when most of those low quality sellers are banned for incentivize reviewes.

The great place to start looking for ideas is "Niche finder tool". http://sellslikehotcakes.co/niche_finder.php for example who know that baby towels or corner flags might be a great idea to sell? This will give you great ideas on how to find a product!

Good day, community!

My name is Serhii Nediak and I'm from Ukraine! I looked at all videos concerning Amazon FBA and now trying to understand all phases of launching process of new product more deep to calculate approximately the amount of funds needed. I even looked at couple products: since I'm fitness coach I'm interested in supplements niche. That is why I will annoy you a lot in the nearest future with all the questions, sorry for that))).

And the first one is: as I've already mentioned I'm from Ukraine, Ukraine is among countries eligible to work on Amazon, to work on Amazon I will need to open professional account, so I will need to open a company and finally the question - where would be better to open a company, in Ukraine, in USA (if this possible) or maybe in offshore zone and what kind of a company it should be?

Will be glad to hear from you, maybe you know any kind of services that can help me with this.

hi Sergey, good idea about supplements and you can be the face of your product since you are looking so Good yourself. Ukraine is loved in USA and Europe after the donbass thing so you can play this card even more as Ukranian Giant and his secrets of health supplements. Where to open the company - probably locally if it is eligible so no point to overpay high usa fees for companies, as you need bank account and visa/mastercard as well to work! However you need to understand how you ship products to amazon FBA and if you plan selling in germany or europe (pas european acc) or USA ?
