Shady Amazon Tricks Nobody Talks About

Hello guys,

Hope you’re having a great weekend.

Today, we’ll be talking about the shady tricks sellers on Amazon use to stay ahead of the game. For the sake of increasing your knowledge base in this business and expanding your business acumen, we are going to reveal to you certain tricks sellers employ to help them remain competitive.

Although these tricks may lead to you getting banned, people still use them. It’s just like hard drugs; people still take them even though there’s a chance of turning into an addict. So what are these tricks?

1. Super URL: a lot of guys are using this, what the super url does is to simply trick your Amazon into thinking that your customer was doing a keyword search in the Amazon’s web browser and then he just found your products. So what is the end game? Well… if the customer purchased your product, this would make Amazon think that your product was ranking well for those keywords, and this may improve your keyword ranking

2. Hijacking/Piggybacking: this happens when a seller takes advantage of your discounts and offers a listing on top of your listing. Here, the shady seller is stealing your “buy box” and selling his own stuff on top of your listing. It’s a really dishonest way of doing business, and if you’re affected, it may really hurt your income, because the culprits are basically sucking away your customers and profits.

3. Incentivized reviews: Okay, so this one is quite popular, and if you’ve been in the game long enough, you must have heard about it. This trick is used to boost sale by getting a lot of 5-star reviews really quick. The shady sellers do this by offering discount coupons on some sites or Facebook review groups. Although Amazon has currently changed their policy to curb this issue, it is good to stay abreast of what is going on.

Okay guys, let’s be honest, today’s topic may sound a bit controversial, but this is the reality of doing business; whether on Amazon or elsewhere. So, there is no reason to be afraid, rather you have to be aware of the tricks the competition is using so you know when to suspect something and can easily correct a problem quickly. No system is perfect, and baddies will always try to exploit the loopholes, so to reiterate once more; Knowledge is powerGo get that power today!

In our course on FBA- Shady Scams, we go into in-depth details on this issue, showing you more dangerous tricks out there and what you can do to protect your business. We’ll also reveal LEGIT tricks you can use for yourself 🙂

Whatever your situation is, we’ve got your back. Go check out the video course right here.

UPS is Universal Product Code A barcode used for tracking trade items in stores. It usually has 12 numerical digits, which are uniquely assigned to each traded item (GS1 US). You can buy it on speedybarcodes and other sites.

It's Importer Security Filing.. As the importer, you are required to file some basic information before the cargo departs overseas and arrives in the US. Your freight forwarder will always taken care of this but double check always!

What should I put as the "Ship From" address in seller central when I'm building the out the shipment and the carton labels? And how do I determine which fulfillment center to ship to?

Ships from - your factory or your sourcing agend address. fulfillment center is decided by Amazon not you! (when you create a shipment)

do we really need to wait for our first product to sell at least 10 items per day as suggested ? is this still a valid benchmark to work with?
