5 Important e-commerce Business Tips you MUST Never Forget!

There are a plethora of methods for scaling and growing a business…. Truth be told, there is no perfect way to go about this process. However, there are some key principles that you should adhere to regardless of the kind of method you’ve chosen to grow your business. What are these principles for e-commerce bloom?

Let’s find out!

Reasoning like the customer: the advice often given to entrepreneurs is “think like the customer,” aside from this sounding cliché, most people don’t know how to go about it. When attempting to reason like the customer, you have to be on the same mental plane; the mantra of “less of me, more of you” is apt in this context. What this simply means is that what you think is good/right should not count; rather, what the customer thinks is good/right counts. If you apply this pattern to key areas of your business, it won’t take long before you start noticing positive changes in the area of sales. For example, regarding the product you want to sell, think of what is in vogue, what customers are demanding right now and pitch your tent there. Providing for specific customer needs will not only improve your business, but it will also prevent the dreadful menace of unfulfilled orders.

Learning by Doing: We have talked about how entrepreneurs get trapped in thinking and learning phase without actually getting anything done. What you should remember is that failure is simply an opportunity to learn and improve as an individual and a business. So, always see failure as an ally in your journey to perfection. Go out there fail, fail, learn and then WIN BIG!

Selling Different: Selling in a unique way separates you from the pack and gives your business an identity. Customers like to feel special, patronizing a unique brand is a cool thing and if you brand your business as something different, you will quickly amass loyal customers. Ensure that you not only provide for your customer’s needs, but you also cater to that basic human instinct of wanting to be different. Don’t copy the competition too much, stand out of the crowd with unique selling techniques and incentives.

Get the Right Product: In the e-commerce world, the consequences of selling bad products are failure and loss. Because of this, it is in your best interest to devote the time and energy into finding the best products to sell. Having recognized the importance of this, we have created courses dealing with this subject extensively. You can have a look here.

It is worth remembering that there is no business without products.

Stay Current: In a digital world where new technologies keep popping up here and there, a lazy entrepreneur who fails to stay up dated with the current happenings and trends is only digging his own grave. Don’t be the lazy entrepreneur, be a WINNER!

By keeping these tips at the heart of your business and implementing them, you are sure of scaling successfully and opening the doors for further growth and expansion.

Amazon will decide when you create a shipment. sometimes it goes to all in one, sometimes you ship to separate.

How accurate are sales estimates based on BSR?

It's pretty accurate but it's only a GUIDE, not exact amount. You need to understand that amazon does not release real sales amounts on public. So it's an EDUCATED GUESS. The problem is that all of that information is based on the sales rank at the time you are viewing the product. So if they ran some promo last week they have more BSR than usual.

That's why good to use TRACKING tools like "Track my product" in sells lik ehot cakes..

FBA toolkit, Unicorn smasher, Jungle scout, all give you some estimate. Nothing is "ACCURATE" and cant be accurate as you dont know real numbers, only amazon does... all tools just try to help you research. Dont worry about "accuracy".

After you import the products, you can simply edit them from Shopify itself (in the PRODUCTS section) and there you can update description, set collection etc. Also if you think it's a bug, reach Oberlo support, they are very helpful!

My advice for people who are not successful with dropshipping/shopify - remember its not just about the product but the ads strategy!without building REAL community cold traffic ads just don't work to the cold traffic. I see others who are successful with dropshipping among my partners do a serious community and devote great effort into building it (like baby / moms community) or funny products community.
paying just for clicks to cold traffic with no community just does not work, no matter how hard you work or how much you test! So my advice is first build a facebook community before paying for facebook ads. there is some great video about it in the sells like hot cakes course in the end of the shopify mastery.

So Im new....still doing research for a niche...what I'm finding is using the Hotcakes competitor spy tool, when I do find something that I might like to sell I find out the competitor didn't get it from Aliexpress. This happens more often that not with the biggest Shopify stores. What other dropshipper might they be using?

 Mike says at 08:20 et
It does not have to be only Aliexpress. Check the local dropshipping supplier video, you can also find local suppliers!
